The walleye is a prized food fish, as well as a  favorite quarry of anglers. It gets its name from the large eye with its light reflecting retina that gives the fish its walleyed appearance. We take pride in recreating the Tapetum lucidum (the layer of pigment in the retina of the eye ), by  leaving the pupil clear and building a mirror glass pupil, inside of the eye. This gives the eyes depth, a life-like look, and some what glow to them.
